ABOUT
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1999, Vaco Prazeres is a documentary filmmaker.
His connection to the ocean began at an early age and became a central element in the way he observes and creates. He directed Filhos da Cratera, filmed in Chã das Caldeiras, Cape Verde, where he explores community life and the relationship between territory and memory.
With a background in Graphic Design and a Master’s degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia, his work bridges cinema, photography, and observational practice.
The sea remains his main source of inspiration, guiding a body of work shaped by listening, adaptation, and the pursuit of sensitive, memorable experiences.
